It does not suit 3.08, 3.36, 3.55, 3.70, 3.90, 4.11, 4.44 or higher ratio gear sets.
Holden large Salisbury 10 bolt diffs use different carrier/hemisphere offsets depending on the ratio family. The 2.60 / 2.78 ratios use one carrier offset, while 3.08 and higher ratios use a different carrier offset.
If this 2.60 / 2.78 centre is fitted with a 3.08-or-higher crown wheel and pinion, the crown wheel will sit in the incorrect position relative to the pinion and excessive backlash will result. This cannot be corrected with bearings or normal shim adjustment.
